Good things are happening down at the North Houston Bike Park.
The whole park has kicked in to high gear with about 5-8 different crews finishing tons of projects within the park. The dirt track/jump builders from dirt trends are on site working on the track as well as the pump tracks and dirt jumps. Hector Garcia and Neil Harrington joined me for a walk through the park with one of the foremen from Spawglass Construction to talk about how things are progressing. Here are the highlights and some photos of the walk through. The gallery below are my grabs from video so enjoy the view!
BMX track is formed and getting the light posts put in (they’re huge)
There is going to be a VIP viewing area above the final berm that will be enclosed in glass
The roll ins are set to have their starting gates installed
Flatland area is complete
The pump tracks are all going to be paved with asphalt and grass on the sides
The plaza section is almost 100% complete
Dirt Trends crew has nearly completed all three pump tracks
The bowl section is ‘roped off’ because they’re pretty much all completed
The viewing area bridge will be installed by the end of the month
